Master Sylvio Behring is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu 8th degree Red-White Belt and a Judo Black Belt. Originally from one of the most traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu families in Brazil, he is the older son of Grand Master Flavio Behring (9th degree Red Belt) and the brother of Prof. Marcelo Behring (BJJ Black Belt legend - RIP).

Master Behring is not only a global reference for self-defense but also regarded as one of the premiere Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Masters in the world, having helped improve the skills of many renown fighters such as Fabricio "Vai Cavalo" Werdum, Anderson "The Spider" Silva and Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza among others.

He is an inspiring Martial Artist who carries his family legacy as he continues to bring honor to his father, his family, the art and the history of Jiu-Jitsu through his diligent practice, love of the art, his patience as a teacher and the respect that he gives to all of those that have the privilege of meeting him in person.

Master Behring comes to Canada at least twice a year to orient, supervise, teach and promote his Canadian affiliates. He is a true gentleman and his visits are always a special and unforgettable moment for all of us from the Behring Jiu-Jitsu Family.

Prof. Pedro Albuquerque is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu 4th degree Black-Belt with more about 37 years of experience. He was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he began studying Judo at the age of 4 years old and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, under the supervision of the Behring Family, by the time he was 9 years of age.
